September 6, 20169 yr Author see I'm not the only user with it: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=45353.0 after some google-fu: https://www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=50526 see that its been a long outstanding bug in avahi.. it doesnt handle things to well it doesnt understand.. running wireshark now to track down what in my network is sending it.. (dns and udp.port eq 5353)
September 7, 20169 yr Author just caught it via wireshark: 250 2016-09-06 22:08:35.790305 192.168.0.140 224.0.0.251 MDNS 148 Standard query response 0x0000 PTR \2100 SRV, cache flush 62216 33007 62217 \201rF A, cache flush 192.168.0.140 NSEC, cache flush \2100[Malformed Packet] looking into what device that is.. its my garage door opener.. "MyQ Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener" looks like I'll have to put this on a vlan to hide that traffic from the rest of the network..
