kernel panic: Fatal exception

Featured Replies

On startup I am getting a message:

Kernel panic - not syncing:  Fatal exception in interrupt

Shutting down cpus with NMI

Kernel Offset: disabled

---[end Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt

(blinking cursor, keyboard unresponsive).

Is there a way I can fetch a syslog off the flash drive and post?

Thank you.

update:  I was able to get to the command line long enough to copy over the syslog, which is attached

update 2:  I attempted to launch into Safe Mode.  Now I go through the boot process then crash, followed by restart.

I will add that i recently upgraded my parity drive to 4TB (from 3TB).  Everything worked fine, parity was rebuilt, and all files seemed accessible, etc.  I then intended to swap out an old 1.5TB drive and put the old 3TB parity drive in its place.  Before I did this though, I did file checking via reiserfsck (there have been concerns in the past, particularly with the 1.5TB drive).  No corruptions were found on any of my six drives.  However upon restarting, after checking the sixth drive, things went bad as detailed above.

Again, thanks for any help.

Just wondering if anyone has taken a peek at the syslog?  Is it complete?

Thank you.

Final update (problem solved):  Thank you, Tom, for your help.  Replacing the power supply solved the problem.
