September 7, 20169 yr Hello, i crashed my docker.img so i setup a new one. Than I was wondering because my repository are still there. I deleted and redownloadet the Plex application and configed it. Now when i login there is my old configuration still active. (Created Usere switching, and user icons) Thats good, but the worst is, the message comes up that its not possible to connect to the plex server!! What can I else do, I already deleted manualy the docker.img again, the plex configuration files in appdata. Is there anywhere else still a config? Thanks for help
September 7, 20169 yr Community Expert Have you read the Docker FAQ sticky thread? This is a good one from there.
September 7, 20169 yr Author There is no solution for my problem, I tried a other browser. I had to login, but after that it was the same problem. I do not even have to go through the installer Plex. (With checking the terms...) I am now in host mode, in bridge an none I can't even connect to the Plex interface. Why I can't find any servers?
September 7, 20169 yr This is a Plex issue, not a docker issue per se... Personally, as much as I loath Plex and barely use it I've never had a problem with merely deleting the docker.img (or appdata for that matter) and upon reinstallation being able to access the server. Did anything on the network change at the same time?
September 7, 20169 yr Author I set up a new Array, and moved the docker.img to the cache drives. (Complete new drives (2) instead of one old (for testing..)) But this doesn't worked, so i renewed them. Now I have these problems. I changed nothing in the network...
September 8, 20169 yr This sounds similar to something I experienced a couple of days ago. I applied an update to a couple of days old plex install via docker and also updated to rc5. I spotted that I had installed the configfolder on the wrong drive (think the lsio template assumes no cache drive?) so changed that to my appdata folder and then suddenly I have no server. Suddenly I can't find my server in plex, I kept getting the screen telling me to download the software. As this was a new install of plex (I had never used it before) I thought that's ok I will just reinstall everything thing for it. So I started from scratch with a new fresh install. I still had the same issue! I can login in via the gui or the iPad app but no server. Out of desperation I wiped my docker image and reinstalled everything from Squids backup/restore app and it still didn't work. Eventually after lots of searching I found that I needed to open a ssh tunnel and connect to the server via that and then it all started to work. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200288586-Installation Now I just followed instructions lol as I had no idea what I was doing as I'm no it guru - I fix cars for a living lol. Hopefully the above will help you.

September 8, 20169 yr Any suggestions as to what could be wrong with the network? Sorry to the OP to go off topic I like a challenge and if you think its not right my OCD will make me want to get to the bottom of the problem. As I said earlier I am no IT expert but I'm not daft.
September 8, 20169 yr Author Thanks @Johnson I think you had the same problem! Did you remove any oder files in your system? Maybe its the wrong configured Docker?! I found these in the UNRAID Server logs: Sep 8 21:24:27 Tower ntpd[1505]: Listen normally on 8 docker0 172.17.42.1:123 and when I run ifconfig: ... docker0: flags=4099<UP,BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 172.17.42.1 netmask 255.255.0.0 broadcast 0.0.0.0 ether 00:00:00:00:00:00 txqueuelen 0 (Ethernet) RX packets 5374 bytes 5377724 (5.1 MiB) RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0 TX packets 5771 bytes 3763642 (3.5 MiB) TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0 ... My standard Network is: UNRAID Tower: 192.1.1.100 Sub: 255.255.255.0
September 8, 20169 yr Author Oh Thanks, i try to reset my USB stick. The VM Files are still on the drives even by an "New" UNRAID stick?
September 8, 20169 yr I completely blew my docker image away. So started from scratch as Plex had only been installed for 2 days as I wanted to test it out. No network changes at all. I have been running between 8 - 13 dockers. Have you tried the ssh tunnel? These were my settings
September 8, 20169 yr Author ????? It worked! I first also thought, that makes no sense... What I did: (On Mac Terminal) I tunneled my traffic: ssh 192.1.1.100 -L 32400:localhost:32400 than at the Browser http://localhost:32400 and the server is found!!! I closed the Tunnel and now it still worked as before, with the IP from the Tower and the Plex port. ;D I don't know why, but now it works! Big Thank you to Johnson!
September 8, 20169 yr Wow that's great news! I have no idea why I had to do it on mine. When I googled the problem I found mentions of adding extra lines to the preferences file on the plex forum (in the unraid section) - obviously that didn't work for me. I almost rolled back to rc4 as I thought it was something to do with that. I wish I knew more about what and why it happened.
