September 10, 20169 yr I am building a new system with 6x SATA2 (3 Gbps) Ports on the motherboard and I am adding a Dell Perc H310 (IT mode). I know the parity disk and largest disks should be on the fastest ports. Can someone tell me if I should be putting these disks on the motherboard or the H310?

September 10, 20169 yr Author Good enough. Thanks. I assume if I use an SSD for the cache/docker i should put it on the 6Gbs H310 ports? When I originally wrote this I did not realize that the H310 says the ports are 6Gbs/s.
