Support for USB 3.0 Controller Card

Featured Replies

I wanted to pass that card through to a VM.  It passes through but my unRAID server locks up randomly when the VM is running and I have to reboot the server with power button or IPMI.  I stopped passing it through to the VM and both unRAID and the VM run just fine.

Note: I have nothing connected to it yet - haven't gotten that far yet.

Note2: MB is ASRock - EP2C602-4L/D16 with 2 E5-2670 CPUs

I have the same card passed through to a Win10 VM with no issues at all. I have multiple devices connected including Mouse, Keyboard, Thrustmaster HOTAS, TrackIR, Xbox360 Controller and a USB Sound Card. All working and hot-mounting with no issues.

That's why I added Note2 wanted to make sure I qualified my post with the MB and CPUs as it could be different for other combinations.  Plus since I got the CPUs off ebay they may be my problem and not really the USB card that is causing it.

I got my CPUs from eBay too. Different MB though, I'm on the ASUS Z9PE-D8
