September 16, 20169 yr Upgrade went smooth, but my Docker tab is gone. I turned them all off before I did the upgrade. The appdata and docker.img file is still where I left it, but won't show it's face on my screen. Here is a diag. sun-diagnostics-20160915-2346.zip
September 16, 20169 yr I replied already in the other thread (probably missed it). Move the docker.img file off of the unassigned device. You might be able to get it to work by toggling the docker enabled on / off / on again (applying each time)

You might be able to get it to work by toggling the docker enabled on / off / on again (applying each time) Thank you. I know it needs to be moved off the unassigned drive, but I also need to use an array drive and configure nothing to write to it except a small docker image. Just didn't want to waste the space on as example a half full 4TB drive just for a 30GB dockerfile. Would instaling a 250GB SSD drive to the array and then configure that drive for just docker image and other files like virtuo files? Why, because I want all my VM's and Docker IMG to be on SSD drive for performance. Thanks again

What I don't understand is the other post implies that you don't have a cache drive. Why not forego the use of UD, and make the SSD the cache drive. Set all the shares to not use the cache drive, and the net result is right where you are now, but on a fully supported system for both docker and VMs (ie: you're getting rid of the use of a plugin to support either of them)

I apologize for not being an expert, even though I've been around for a while. I will try exactly like you said. Same end result but just a difference way I getting there. Thanks Squid.
September 18, 20169 yr I am having the same issue with no docker tab showing up after upgrading from V6.1.9 to V6.2. I have tried to move the img file off the btrfs drive (sdu) I upped the space for the new image file from 40 to 60gig I started docker and restarted I have rebooted the system none of these have worked so far. I have attached the diag logs. can you please assist me with this issue. Thank you nasunraid-diagnostics-20160918-1636.zip
September 19, 20169 yr Looking more at the system when I click on the docker icon in setting I see that my unassigned device is not available in the drop down for "Default appdata storage location:" My App data folder is on a BTRFS formatted drive (the same one the docker.img file is supposed to be on)
September 19, 20169 yr Default appdata location only affects new app installs. But you can manually type the path in there. You should also adjust the mode of those appdata paths on each of the templates to be RW:slave Sent from my SM-T560NU using Tapatalk
September 19, 20169 yr I have entered the path in by hand and the docker tab still doesn't show up. I take it the RW: is only available once docker is started and you can re-install all the containers. That is the part I still cannot do since docker isn't starting up.

I sometimes can't keep up on the entire forum because of a busy work life, so we all miss some of the important stuff. What I did was I added my unassigned drive to the array and a cache drive and then copied all my configs and appdata over to that drive. After that was done I turned dockers off then back on and finally saw all my dockers. Then I had to edit each docker I had to reflect the new appdata path. I also moved my IMG file over to this drive also.
September 19, 20169 yr Image I can understand. Appdata not working on UD I'm very surprised at. I'll have to give that one a test Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk
September 20, 20169 yr I moved the IMG file from the unassigned drive and placed it on the cache drive and Docker came up. I re-installed all the Docker Apps and am back in business. Thank you for the help
