Unable to remove VM from system

Featured Replies

I was testing some different core settings recently on my home system. When I was finished I noticed that I could not delete those test VMs via the webgui as both Remove VM and Remove VM + Disks did nothing. I manually deleted the vdisk from the cache drive via MC, but I still cannot remove the VM references. Also, the hard drive areas state 1/unknown, which would indicate that they are still being updated. The server has been restarted a few times since then but I still can't remove the two VMs. Since something has obviously gotten messed up, I wonder how I might go about removing them manually?

I don't think it is relevant but I had created the VMs by:

Adding a new VM via the gui

Making a copy of a vdisk from one of my normal VMs

R&R xml data from my stable vm with modified name, uid, vdisk locations, and core pinning for pass-throughs and testing.

Lastly, they ran fine during testing, I just don't know how to remove the references now. Any suggestions?

Found a solution for this on my own. I created a new VM template, and copied the XML from that. Then pasted that information over the broken VM references (sans the name and uuid). After doing this I had no problems deleting the faulty VM references.
