Featured Replies

Super happy right now, upgraded my broadband package and getting easy 200mbps+ down and 20mbps up!

Not traffic management no throttling during peak times.

It's ashame no one in my household or any of my plex friends will care lol

We care, lol. ;D

Yaye!! My wife thinks im mad but that's because she doesn't realise when shes watching GoT on her ipad its over the internet lol she think plex is like Netflix!

Nice!

I wonder why you get the 20Mb uplink, while many, self included, only stay on 12 after the upgrade...

12Mb up is a bit crap for cable, I'm getting 80/20 on FTTC.

Nice!

I think Virgin are now offering a paid upgrade to 20Mb up.  Standard as you say is 200/12 and isn't advertised with the "No traffic management" tagline.

Thanks for that.  I just looked.  The 200/20 option is relatively new, and an extra £5 a month.  I don't need it right now, but at least the option exists.

The new package started 1 September and initially I only called to find out whether it was truely uncapped. After they confirmed it was and I moaned about the recent price hike they offered me the bundle for half price.

So now I can download and upload as much as I want, where before if I downloaded too much my upload would also get reduced. So well worth the extra money. Only downside was having to pay £15 for the superhub 3 even though I only use it in modem only mode and pretty sure the superhub 2 is capable of those speeds.

I cant belive how crap internet is in other countries.

I have 100/100 for €30 in sweden.

And if I want i can get 1000/1000 for €70.

there is no limiting in any way.  Just pure bandwidth.  :)

Just for info, I can confirm that the Superhub 2ac in modem mode has no issues with 200+Mb.

I can confirm the SuperbHub 2 also has no problems with 200MBit speeds.

I know that, you know that, we all know that! Unfortunately Virgin Media will only give the package with the new Superhub 3  :o

Mobile data must be faster than that, beat me on ping though ;)

I'll do a SpeedTest run tonight, I've got a 4G hotspot as a backup, I'm getting 30Mbit from it from Three. It's really useful.

I'm very happy with my 160D/160U...
