Hey fellas,

 

Ok so here is my question and yes I am quite new :),

 

I have unRAID plus and have an array of 14TB with parity. I wanted to use 2x 240GB SSD for my plex and windows vm so they respond in a timely fashion, this is easy but the difficult part is that I have an additional 4TB WD Black drive and I want to use that as a cache drive to speed up writes and part of it to be used as a storage drive for downloads when downloading from my windows VM.

I don't want to make unnecessary writes to my SSD hence the need for the WD Black.

Can this be done or will the world implode if I try?

Critical point, no caching writes to SSDs and plex database only uses SSD not HDD
