jude
I have a lot of ram that is not being used and I would like to shift my downloads (for non critical files) to a folder in /tmp. I already have plex using /tmp for transcoding and this works great. Additionally I have NZBGet using /tmp for its intermediate folder and this also works very well. Plex will fetch (and then delete) the finished files from /tmp/downloads folder so I am not too worried about it filling up and maxing out my ram. I have found various ways to do this on other linux forums but I want to make sure that I do this right for unRaid. I would really appreciate it if any one could show me what the line should look like that I would put into the Go script so that the /tmp/downloads folder is created on reboot? Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
add the command in the 'go' file. Quote Link to comment
jude
so just add the following line to the go script mkdir /tmp/downloads Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
Yes. Make sure to edit the 'go' file in a *nix aware edittor (i.e. don't use textpad or wordpad in windows). Quote Link to comment
