September 24, 20169 yr Here are my specs, please advise if this is even possible. I will happy throw some cash (PayPal? Venmo?) to whomever can help me get this setup with some one-on-one attention. Do I need to add anything? What do I need to buy? Please help! CPU: Intel i7-3770K Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V LK RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Storage: Kingston V300 240GB SSD, 4x6TB Western Digital Red HDD Obviously I will need to grab a Sierra license, but what else do I need to get this running? As an added note, I'm still on 6.1.9 Plus.
September 24, 20169 yr I'm not an unRaid user yet so I can't help you, but found the following links - http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=43816.msg500443#msg500443 https://github.com/kholia/OSX-KVM Doesn't look trivial. Maybe someone here is already running this?
September 24, 20169 yr https://dm0s.wordpress.com/2015/11/27/windows-vmware-guide-to-osx/ is a great resource for getting this running. This can help you build the ISO and that is the hardest part. The rest should just work, i would also look at what MrCrispy said that should prep the machine so that it can run a mac. All mac OSes are essentially the same, you'll just need a good ISO that doesnt lock down to only Mac Hardware. Just a P.S. There are places on the internet where you can download the full ISO that is already prehacked for installing on a hackintosh I do not want to post them due to rules and legality. If you look hard enough you may just find it PM me if you get stuck.
September 24, 20169 yr Have you tried the excellent videos @gridrunner published: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=51915.0 Gus
September 24, 20169 yr Thanks for all the replies -- I'm definitely appreciative of the resources y'all have posted and I will try my best to review them and set this up on my own. I was admittedly looking for a bit of hand-holding since I've never set up a VM on my unraid box and will inevitably have questions (and possibly unique issues). In any case, thank you again and I will start reviewing these threads and videos. The offer absolutely still stands though -- if someone would be willing to devote some time assisting with the setup one-on-one via phone or VOIP and join.me. Thanks!
September 27, 20169 yr Okay, when attempting to update the XML for my VM, I'm getting the following VM creation error: Cannot check QEMU binary /usr/local/sbin/qemu: No such file or directory Any help is greatly appreciated.
