September 26, 20169 yr I have a couple of questions regarding upgrading to 6.2 1. Can I roll back to 6.19 if I want to by copying the bzimage and bzroot files from the previous folder into the root of the flash drive? 2. Right now I have a server on 6.19 running a windows 10 VM, will it operate normally if I upgrade to 6.2 or will I have issues and have to modify it? The VM is running on its own SSD. Thanks.
September 26, 20169 yr 1. Yes 2. I can't remember as I upgraded during the beta series. May require some minor tweaks to your xml iirc (although this may not be true for v6.2 final release)
September 26, 20169 yr The upgrade is designed to be easy to roll back (see the notes in the announcement page). Note also that you need to shut down your VMs; disable auto-start of the VMs; and then do the upgrade. I don't use UnRAID for VM's, so can't comment on the precise process; but there's a fairly detailed description of what you need to do in the first page of the announcement thread. Sounds like there may be a few "tweaks" needed, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I'd be sure and back everything up before doing this, however -- including the entire flash drive [it's designed to roll back easily, but it never hurts to have a way to absolutely recover to where you started ]
