Hard Link Breaks After A Deluge Restart?

Featured Replies

I have Binhex's DelugeVPN and Sonarr running and can't quite figure out how to get seeding to persist when Deluge gets restarted.

Here is what is happening:

1. A download completes and is moved from the 'incomplete' to 'completed downloads' by Deluge.

2. Sonarr scans the 'completed downloads' folder for an episode, then moves and hard-links the episode to my 'TV' folder. The episode will still be seeding at this point.

3. A power outage or maintenance event occurs where Deluge needs to restart.

4. When Deluge re-launches, it checks my 'completed downloads' folder for the seeding torrent, does not find it, so begins re-downloading. Shouldn't it find the hard-link here?

The hard-link seems to work while Deluge is running, but a restart appears to break that. Here are my settings:

DeluveVPN:

Download to: /mnt/user/Automation/docker/delugevpn/downloads/incomplete

Move Completed to: /mnt/user/Media/Completed Downloads

Sonarr:

Data: /mnt/user/Media/Completed Downloads/ (where I'm scanning for downloads)

Media: /mnt/user/Media/TV/ (where they're being moved to)

I'm assuming Sonarr is by default set to hard link, is there something I've completely overlooked? Would appreciate any advice if someone has solved for this.

EDIT 1: After more research, I believe I need to use symlinks to span multiple volumes. Unfortunately, Sonarr only supports hard linking. I'm going to try setting up Sickrage as my renamer using symlink and disabling drone factory within Sonarr. Why? I vastly prefer Sonarr's UI. Hopefully this works... will report back.
