September 30, 20169 yr Hi all, Just got this when trying to access my Tower (Primary Server): Tower/Main or 10.0.0.55 Warning: parse_ini_file(state/network.ini): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/template.php on line 43 Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/template.php on line 43 However I can still access all of my files on the Tower. I can still access my Backup Server - Backup/Main or Backup Server 10.0.0.104 Thoughts and suggestions please. Dave

September 30, 20169 yr Author Hi Squid, Thanks so much, that did the trick. When I went to check my drives I did see another weird folder w/lots of sub-folders: Disk 1 has a "new" folder - 738508758202976895 with sub-folder cpbf0000000000000000000 to cpbf0000000000001642487 all from back in April. By and large unreadable. Was this a failure, issue, or an anomaly? I've not had any problems that I'm aware of since that time, nor has it been repeated. Should I retain this folder or delete it? Dave
September 30, 20169 yr Author Squid, Thanks for taking the time to respond, I don't have any idea either. Any suggestions of where it should be posted or should I just delete the entire folder and move on? D

D Go through it and see what files are in it. My best guess is something like a misconfigured docker app (Crashplan?) created a new share instead of tossing it into a backup share. Best place to post is a General V6

Best place to post is a General V6 Squid, I bet you are correct, I've had problems with my CrashPlan ever since it was converted from the Desktop GUI. I'm still trying to make it work from my Tower to my Backup Server w/o much luck. Code 42 doesn't offer much assistance for "headless" configurations. I've invoked the WebGui from the Backup Server to try and "backup" Tower, but it seems to fail and after fiddling around for several hours, generally just throw up my hands. If you have experience, would you ignore the Docker WebGui and just access the Backup Server via my Mac and a CrashPlan App? Dave

Don't trust my data on anyone's server's other than my own, and for my own internal backup purposes, I use homebrew scripts
October 1, 20169 yr Touche' Care to Share D http://www.computerhope.com/robocopy.htm for Windows to server. That and occasionally this: http://blog.sinethemba.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/DVDs.jpg[/img] Most media I really couldn't care if I ever lost it (at the point that I'd probably never even notice it if I lost some of it), so I don't worry about it.
October 2, 20169 yr Author Squid, Interesting, since I've stored my Movies on the Server and that is what I "screwed up" 6 months ago, I'd sort of like to make sure they are perhaps duped (though I may not have enough space). Otherwise my data needs to be pruned from one server to the other. Crashplan I think compresses the data and only updates what is changed from time to time (day to day/month to month, etc.). At this point I have duplicates of files on both Servers (new and old (original)), so consolidation to 1 copy should be first. I've looked at a number of free comparison programs (Mac/Windows) but it's hard to specify which file gets deleted and folders are a "bitc...."! It's the little things that bug us, but they really are important. I doubt once I get things backed up, that I will ever need to again. 99% are probably never touched again, but of course that niggling 1% is always important and/or critical. Good example - my email at msn.com failed yesterday/today and I've lost all my business docs/emails. MS doesn't really backup, grrrrrrrr! I've been escalated to Level 2 but I'm really in trouble. October 2, 20169 yr Author my email at msn.com failed yesterday/today and I've lost all my business docs/emails. MS doesn't really backup, grrrrrrrr! I've been escalated to Level 2 but I'm really in trouble. How is this even possible?! MS dropped a ball here if this is true.... No backups?! Guess WHAT! TRUE!!! Unless you have a version of Outlook App within Office (I do not) MS keeps no backup! I asked very specifically about that today and spent over 90 minutes online with Agent (linked to my computer) trying to find my emails. Somewhere in the past 24-48 hours everything in my Business Directory/Sub-Directories has disappeared. Outlook.live.com also re-ordered all of my folders except the ones I need (of course). Now Alphabetical with Junk/Deleted folders on top. We tried to undelete the folders to no avail. Can't even find the Folders, though when we went to "tag" files that could be found (not all of course - mostly duplicates) my list of "missing" folders showed up, but nothing could be transferred to a "new" Directory. Unbelievable !!! Dave
October 2, 20169 yr So.... that is absolutely shocking, I was expecting you to post back saying they'd escalated your issue and someone had restored it from backup that the tier 1 agent didn't know existed. That really has left me speechless. Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
October 2, 20169 yr Author I haven't heard from Level 2 yet, so you may be correct, but it's not looking good.
October 4, 20169 yr Author CHBMB, Level 2 called today and some of my emails were found in the InBox. We created some new Folders but only after they installed the Office (2013) Outlook App. The interesting issue was the fact that a number of the emails in the browser only (Chrome, Explorer, Firefox) show my missing Directory/Sub-Directory Folders, but they (folders) are not accessible. Anyway, I was able to retrieve some of my emails, but MS doesn't backup from what I can tell. If you have the App, you can Backup your email locally in either CDF or PST (outlook format), then apparently (haven't tried) import them back to Outlook. I think () they might Overwrite the existing emails, so it had better be up to date, grrr. Dave Dave
