Wish i had seen your post I was trying to setup a vm unraid to make some setup tutorials on. I have edited the post to clearly include your guide aswell. thanks love the way you convert a whole disk. qemu-img convert -O raw /dev/sd? /path/to/unraid-vm.img I never knew you could convert a physical disk with that command. Wow that command is really useful
February 13, 20188 yr Here is a link to a better way to set up an unRAID VM on an unRAID server. @gridrunner - you might consider a new video using this technique and deprecate this old one. Very similar, but the new method avoids the issue with having 2 USB keys with the same UNRAID label in the computer at the same time. Thanks!
