Normal Share also on Cache disk

Featured Replies

When I first set up unRaid 6.1 I incorrectly created some shares where I had set Use Cache disk to YES. Most of them I was able to clean up by creating a new share and copying the files from the old share, deleteing the old share, renaming the new share and rebooting unRAID.

My last share however is 7TB which does not lend itself to this function.

Is there a way to copy files from the cache disk to the data disk for the share?

is there any reason you cannot set the Share to Use Cache and then manually run mover to move the files to the array disks?  On completing the move you can change the share settings back to what you want.

I tried this.

Move ran for over 6 hours but the files remained on the cache disk

did you try looking at the syslog to see if there were any errors shown that might show why they were not being moved.

You could always try moving them manually to a specific disk.
