Make share available to local VM

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am trying to allow a local windows 10 VM running on unraid 'see' the shares that are also built on the same unraid server.  Wondering if there is a way around adding a SMB share?  If I add the share will it 'leave' the VM and hit the network card?

Trying to parse out how that would work.

Thanks

I have the same question  :)

I'm assume that VM has some sort of host folder sharing but it's not in the GUI that I saw...

Thanks!

Using a network share is the only way to achieve this.    However it is going via the 'virtual' NIC so performance should be good as it never reaches the real physical network.
