VM Load Failure

Featured Replies

Hello, I an newbie to unRAID but have managed to set up my HP Proliant Microserver Gen8 successfully.

When I try to load/start a VM I alway get the screen that is in the Attachment here.

I am probably missing something simple but any suggestions would be appreciated.Thank You.

I vaguely remember coming across this and getting round it, unfortunately I didn't document it so it may have been another problem.

Take a look at this thread, which I think covers it.

It has details of some xml changes, but from the shell try:

fs0:
cd boot/efi
bootx64.efi

This question would probably get better support in the 'VM Engine (KVM)' part of the forums, but hopefully the thread helps!

I tried the fix but it didnt work  :-\

When my vm pathing changed with the version upgrade from 6.19 to 6.2 I ran into something similar. I think it has something to do with not finding the image. Verify your disk.img location as it may have changed. Mine went originally in a VM folder on my array then with the upgrade it defaulted back to cache.

I had the same issue and I haven't figured out how to fix it yet but I don't need to create any new VM for a while so I just moved on.

I ran into this if I didn't open vnc quick enough. It was asking me to hit enter to boot from cd and I missed it. Maybe it is the same thing.
