February 5, 201016 yr I've had a stable unRAID server for at least a year, but yesterday PGE stopped by and turned our power off and on. I have restarted the server and when prompted have typed "root" which brought up "root@Tower:~#" I think this means everything is working fine. I tried going to http://tower but that keeps bring up a server not found in my web browser. What am I doing wrong or what can I do? Thanks for any help!
February 5, 201016 yr Give it a little time. It may be checking the disks after that unexpected cold reboot. Also, see what happens when you point your browser to the server's IP address, instead of the name 'Tower'
February 9, 201016 yr Author I waited a couple of days and still no luck. I also moved the unRAID server downstairs for easier access and closer connection. I did the ifconfig eth0, but it didn't seem to return an IP address. Here's what it returned: Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1a:92:77:70:2f BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B) Memory:fe8c0000-fe8e-0000 I'm assuming based on the above that it's not establishing a connection. Any ideas of what I can do? Thanks!!!!!

Assuming you had connectivity in the past, to me it would indicate a cabling problem, or a problem with the network interface on your server, or the port on the router.
February 9, 201016 yr Any ideas of what I can do? You can at least post a syslog, so we can see if that NIC is ever detecting a beat.
