I had to do a reboot in order to even be able to access the web ip UI. if i try to start the array the system just hangs and does nothing. at that point i have to do another hard reboot in order to reset it again. i uploaded a txt file of the system log. please any input is greatly appreciated as i am not sure what to do. syslog.txt

Try starting the array, then either ssh into the server using Putty, or at the local keyboard / monitor, enter this commanddiagnostics Then post the resulting zip file (think it'll get stored on the flash drive in the /logs folder)
October 10, 20169 yr I was actually looking for the entire zip file, but the syslog does show that the cache drive has corruption on it, and you'll need to Check Disk File Systems
October 10, 20169 yr Author would you still like the whole zip file? unraid-diagnostics-20161009-2224.zip
October 10, 20169 yr would you still like the whole zip file? The cache drive itself looks ok, although you've had 16 unexpected power-offs with it out of a total of 24. (Possibly one of those caused the corruption) Follow that link above to repair the filesystem
