October 12, 20169 yr Hi all. I just noticed this, so I am not sure how long it's been going on with my server. But nothing is writing to my cache drive anymore. When I copy files over to the array, they do not first get copied onto the cache drive. None of my settings have changed. Is this a bug in 6.2.1?
October 12, 20169 yr Community Expert When you say "copy files over to the array" do you mean copying to user shares or copying to array disks? Writes to array disks are never cached. Only specific user shares that have been set to Use cache disk: Yes are written to cache before being moved to the array disks.

I was copying over a few movies and noticed that my cache drive wasn't filling up at all and it was taking the data straight to the array and bypassing the cache drive. I do have the user shares set to use the cache drive.
