How to tell if a driver is loaded in unRAID

Featured Replies

Hello,

We installed unRAID pro on a SuperMicro server with a MegaRAID SAS 9361-8i card. While the card seems to have JBOD mode and I set all drives to JBOD, the drives aren't recognized. I've attached my diagnostics file. Given that the following line is in the hardware devices list:

02:00.0 RAID bus controller [0104]: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS-3 3108 [invader] [1000:005d] (rev 02)

My questions are simple: does this mean the driver is installed or merely that the hardware is detected? If the latter, how do I know if the driver is installed?

Thank you

The card is seen but not recognized, so no, there's no driver module loaded.  That means that compatibility with that card has not been added yet to unRAID.  Email Lime Technology ([email protected] I believe), and request driver support for the card.  It helps to do some research on it, and locate the correct module.  He almost certainly will add it to a future release, probably rather quickly just now.

For now, you do have 2 SATA controllers on the motherboard, with support for 10 SATA ports.

Thanks, in the end I installed an HBA that was known to work instead.

Cheers
