steinibo
Hi I'm running Broadwell i7 6800k and it supports Turbo boost 3.0 My cpu boost now goes from 3.4Ghz to 3.6Ghz but it supports up to 3.8Ghz with Turbo boost 3.0 Are there any plans of integrating it into unRAID ? Quote Link to comment
garycase
Nothing to integrate. Intel's Turbo Boost is a processor-based technology -- it boosts the speed when it recognizes CPU demands that would benefit from higher clock speeds. The operating system has nothing to do with this. Quote Link to comment

garycase
Indeed the "Max 3.0" version does require OS support. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005641.html All previous versions were entirely done in the processor, but this new feature does indeed require an OS driver. I just upgraded to an 10980XE, which is supposted to support up to 4.6ghz with Turboboost 3.0, but I don't seem to get anything close to this. Quote Link to comment
