October 15, 20169 yr So i had my TV Shows share using the cache drive, which i have now turned off. However, the cache drive is still creating a TV Shows folder, and the episodes are staying there, and not being moved by the mover It's as if it thinks the cache drive is also a normal user drive too I've tried enabling cache drive, rebooting, disabling and rebooting. Any ideas? thanks

Any ideas? thanks This implies that your download clients are copying the files directly to /mnt/cache/TV Shows and not /mnt/user/TV Shows. Assuming of course that your settings are correct for those shares (diagnostics would tell the story, in conjunction with your volume mappings for the docker apps)
October 17, 20169 yr Author Hi Squid Thanks for the reply I've checked all the docker paths, and they seem correct. I can't think what could be causing this It's still doing it after a reboot, attached is my log file thanks ba-unraid-diagnostics-20161017-1739.zip
October 18, 20169 yr Author Rebooted again, still happening Which App is actually moving the files once completed? Is it Sonarr? The log file for Sonarr doesn't say much, and it mentions tons of shows i don't actually have! I checked all the logfiles inside Sonarr for "/mnt/cache/TV Shows" and nothing is mentioned, which leads me to believe that somehow, the system thinks the cache drive is part of "mnt/user/" Cache is disabled for every share, but enabled in Global Settings Docker mappings attached
October 18, 20169 yr You do want the cache enabled for the "system" share, but maybe you have a reason for disabling it there?
October 18, 20169 yr Author Yeah it's set to "only" for that I'm just referring to the shares i've created
October 19, 20169 yr Author Might have cracked it Looks like the files were being copied, but it didn't have permission to delete the original files off the cache drive Will see how it gets on!
October 20, 20169 yr Author Nope,. still happening The TV Shows folder should not be on the cache drive, but everytime it downloads a TV Show, its there. Very frustrating having to manually move the shows every day!
October 22, 20169 yr Change the TV Shows Share Setting to use Cache only, then change it back and apply the changes.
October 23, 20169 yr Author Hi Squid Tried this multiple times i'm afraid I changed to cache only, rebooted, then back to "no" and rebooted again Still uses the cache....
October 23, 20169 yr Hi Squid Tried this multiple times i'm afraid I changed to cache only, rebooted, then back to "no" and rebooted again Still uses the cache.... This is what I'm thinking now... (In the middle of some tests on the server, so can't test this out). Set the useCache to be "yes" Run the mover. Everything should get moved off of the cache drive. Verify that the stuff is gone. (disable all the dockers when doing this so that nothing is possibly using the files/folders) Set useCache to be "no". Renable dockers and see what happens. I'm thinking that if the folders still exist on the cache drive than unRaid might toss them in there.
October 23, 20169 yr Also, once you empty the TV Shows folder make sure to remove it from the cache drive.
October 23, 20169 yr Author Ok another update So i downloaded some shows, and they were moved onto the cache drive, but also put into the mnt/usr/TV Shows folder too So perhaps they are not being deleted, when they should be Of course, they shouldn't be hitting the cache drive at all really
October 23, 20169 yr Ok another update So i downloaded some shows, and they were moved onto the cache drive, but also put into the mnt/usr/TV Shows folder too Did you try what myself and Mr-Hexan suggested a post or two up? BTW, /mnt/user encompasses all the shares, including the cache drive, so what you saw is normal and expected (and the way it should be for the share system to make sense)
October 23, 20169 yr Author Hey guys Yeah i tried exactly that Show downloaded to cache drive. I manually moved to the mnt/usr/TV Shows folder (as the shows don't get moved when i activate the mover), then deleted the TV Shows folder from the mnt/cache/TV Shows I then reenabled cache on that share, rebooted, then turned off the cache and restarted again Another show just downloaded to the cache drive again. It's very odd!
October 23, 20169 yr Post a screenshot of what appears when hit edit (the wrench) within Sonarr on one of those TV Shows that's currently being saved to the cache drive. Don't use SAB, but post a screen shot of its folder settings of where its placing the files. (complete and incomplete) I'm almost positive the issue HAS to be within the containers
October 23, 20169 yr You also need to remove the "TV Shows" folder from /mnt/cache otherwise I might include it in the share and default writes to it.
October 27, 20169 yr Author Any other ideas? It's a pain having to manually move the shows from the cache drive to the array every day
October 27, 20169 yr Post a screen shot of your docker folder mappings not the tcp port mappings. Also, post the output of this command: ls -la /mnt/cache/
October 28, 20169 yr Is the "TV Shows" folder on the cache drive empty? ls -la /mnt/cache/TV\ Shows/ If YES, then you need to remove it via the command line using this command: rmdir /mnt/cache/TV\ Shows/ If NO, Empty it properly (i.e. mover or manually), then see above "If YES". Since this folder remains on the cache drive unRAID is including it in the user share, REGARDLESS of your setting in the share page. Look, I don't want to sound like an ass here, but I told you this twice in this thread and you either ignored it or didnt follow through....
October 28, 20169 yr Author Hi, I've done what you suggested multiple times Every time, after manually moving the shows over, i delete the TV Shows folder from the usr/cache immediately afterwards Then, the next time a show downloads, it recreates it on the cache drive and the next show downloads back to there again I did do what you suggested, and it just keeps coming back. I delete the folder using Filezilla after moving the shows over to the mnt/usr/TV Shows folder Not wanting to sound ungrateful, but if you look at "reply 15" i did mention this to you previously "Show downloaded to cache drive. I manually moved to the mnt/usr/TV Shows folder (as the shows don't get moved when i activate the mover), then deleted the TV Shows folder from the mnt/cache/TV Shows"
October 28, 20169 yr Sorry must have missed that. In unRAID webgui, there are per share settings and global share settings. Do any of your shares use a cache disk? If not, change the global settings to disabled/no whatever it might be. You logs show this as enabled.
