Periodic activity of PC's HD-access indicator

Hi,

 

I am running unRAID 4.5 Plus with 3 SATA drives (data, parity, and cache). Even though the drives are spun down, the HD access light on the front panel of the PC comes one periodically every few seconds. Could this be due to the system accessing data on the USB flash drive that contains the system? Any idea how I could find out what the system is doing when the light comes on? I don't remember seeing this with unRAID version 4.4.2. I commented-out all packages (beside the ones used to provide SSH access) inside the GO script and restarted, but it's still doing this.
