October 21, 20169 yr I'm really sorry if this type of post is frowned upon but one of my drives has a red x next to it and I want to be sure it needs to be replaced before I purchase a new one. I've attached the SMART report. Thanks in advance! smart.txt
October 21, 20169 yr SMART looks fine, always post the complete diagnostics, syslog can help diagnosing if it's a bad disk or issue with interface, cable, etc.
October 21, 20169 yr Author Sorry about that, I'm relatively new to UnRAID and all of its workings. Here is my syslog. Still not entirely sure how to interpret a lot of this information. syslog.txt
October 21, 20169 yr Forgot to mention it's only useful if grabbed before rebooting, next time, before rebooting, go to: Tools -> Diagnostics Attach the complete zip to your post. For now, since SMART looks OK and we can't see what happened, do an extended SMART test on that disk, if it passes rebuild to the same disk.

It sucks reading about people making poor choices and losing years worth of stuff.
October 22, 20169 yr Author Well it passed the extended smart test so I rebuilt it last night and it seems to be back functioning normally. I wonder what caused the drive to fail at all in the first place. Thanks so much for all the help and for saving me from buying a whole new drive!
