HDD Temperature

Featured Replies

my 4 HDD in 3 bay fan died, and I didn't notice it until all 4 HDD temperature are 50-53C  (I'm not at home)

smart still showing "PASSED", parity check is normal.

4 HDD are WDC green and they usually maxed 39C.

Do I need worry ?

The working temperatures of a WD disk is normally from 0 to 60 C, you may find it on their web site. Since 53C is still in its range, I think it's ok at the moment, but do replace your fans ASAP, or decrease you array activities, excessive access will raise the temperature.
