October 23, 20169 yr Are your sata cables tied together? My first rig had this (disc access lost, red balling, parity errors, etc) all the time until I cut the OCD organization out and let the sata cables turn into a rat nest. No problems since.

Basically what he is saying is don't try to make things too neat. If you tie your SATA cables together to make them neat you can cause crosstalk between the cables.
