October 23, 20169 yr Today I was messing around with my VM's and GPU soft reset was not working, so rather than going through the webgui to reboot, i opened up a command line session and typed 'reboot' <enter>. I received the typical message "system is going to halt now" and closed putty. Oct 23 11:03:46 Tower in.telnetd[26631]: connect from 192.168.1.124 (192.168.1.124) Oct 23 11:03:48 Tower login[26632]: ROOT LOGIN on '/dev/pts/0' from '192.168.1.124' Oct 23 11:03:49 Tower shutdown[26663]: shutting down for system reboot 7 minutes later and its still up and running fine. Disks are all spun up, but the array is still online... I'm wondering if closing the putty window interrupted the reboot command?
October 23, 20169 yr I upgraded to 6.2.2 earlier today and had no issues rebooting from telnet session.
October 23, 20169 yr Author Then perhaps my abrupt closing of the session killed the 'reboot' process.
