No ACHI option in new board

Featured Replies

I had some issues recently with post behavior ad crashes, so decided to change out my board.

I installed ASRock N68C-GS4 FX

When setting my BIOS up, there is no ACHI option for the SATA controller.  I have started the server, but not the array, and all drives are showing properly.

Is this a problem?  The startup guides say to use AHCI, and not IDE or RAID.

I have also looked through my manual, and there is no mention of AHCI.

Attached is the image of the BIOS screen where I cannot get an ACHI setting.

I want to start my array and see if all my issues were fixed, but I am afraid of breaking something with this BIOS setting.

Thanks for any advice.

Is your firmware up to date?

AHCI is a subset of RAID.

You can try to go with RAID.
