After upgrade, no place to set docker size, path

Featured Replies

So I just upgraded to the latest stable release from ver 5 RC16. Data's there, shares are there (well, one's missing, I used to have a Cache drive share that's gone eg \\tower\cache\)... all good until I try and setup a docker.

Following the instructions...

-The first step on your Docker journey will be to create your Docker virtual disk image where the service and all the application images will live.

-Open a web browser on your Mac or PC and navigate to the unRAID webGui.

-Click on the Docker tab at the top of the screen.

Ok, easy enough...

-Specify an initial virtual disk image size .....

-Pick a location for your Docker virtual disk.

I can't do either of these, there's no place to do it.

Settings, Docker: settings_docker.png

Docker Tab: docker_containers.png

What am I missing?

If you have an adblocker, whitelist your server.

Switch from basic to advanced view.. (top right on page)

Disabled adblocker, (adblock+ in Chrome) no change. I had already whitelisted my server by name, added the IP as well. Still nothing.

Set view to basic, no change. (Although I don't see how that would hide the fields.) I tried IE as well. (I never use it, so it's "stock")

After these changes, I disabled and re-enabled the docker service. No change.

Thanks for the replies... any other ideas?

Post your diagnostics.zip, then.

How did you do the upgrade?

On the screenshot showing settings, the view is set to basic, which hides the fields. (It shouldn't, IMHO, but it does). When you toggle that screen to advanced, do you see it?

I believe I followed the upgrade instructions properly.

I copied all the contents off the USB drive, formatted it and copied the contents of the zip file. After that, I copied over the files from the config folder, minus the renamed go file and the cache_dirs file, overwriting some of the existing files. I then copied over the files from the shares folder. Rebooted.

You have to disable docker then you will have the options for size and location under advanced.. Since you can't change those fields while docker is running..

That screenshot shows docker service is already running with 20GB @ /mnt/user/system/docker.img, which must be the default now if you didn't set it yourself. So you should be good to go.

Have you installed Community Applications plugin yet? That is the best way to choose and add dockers.

I would have sworn I checked both the advanced and basic screens on both docker sections with the docker stopped. Guess not.  :-[

Ok, that's a little irritating. Someone really needs to update the instructions if it's the case.  :)

Yup, read about it before upgrading and installed it already. Now, off to figure out dockers! :D

Thanks everyone!!!
