Hi.  I'm currently on unraid version 6.10.0-rc2 and just loaded the 3.0v of the plugin.. the issue is that when I click the link, the page doesn't load.  I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the plugin as well as enable/disable.

This site can’t be reached
towerone.local refused to connect.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Oh, that might be a bug, I'll check

Does this plugin work when a server is configured under Management Access to us ####.unraid.net?

Currently I have two server configured as such and I am not able to configure or access them.

When I click on the link on the plugin settings to bring up the QR Code it fails "cannot access this site".

I look at the URL and it is using https with port 2379, if I change the url to http and port 2378 then the page comes up.

If I remove the Management Access settings (unprovision the server from *.unraid.net) then the plugin works just fine. So maybe there is a something going on that is preventing this plugin from working on *.unraid.net.

I think what's happening is that the plugin can't detect that you're provisioning/unprovisioning the server.

At plugin startup, it checks if it's running on an http or https server.

It seems in your case, it started with http, and after provisioning the server, it switched to https, but the plugin doesn't know about that.

Can you restart the plugin after you're provisioned into x.unraid.net, see if it works ?

i got it to work.. the link is opening to port 2379, when in fact it should be 2378, but in addition, the link is using SSL and i get a SSL protocol failure:

towerone.local sent an invalid response.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

it works if I change it back to: http://192.168.1.105:2378

so i got the QR code to show up but in the app there is no where to scan it, android app btw

edit:  i ended up manually adding the server and then it worked.. it also turned out that since i use pihole, i needed to add towerone.local in my dns settings for that to resolve correctly, after i did that it worked fine.  thanks for the help!

Same results. I have even uninstalled the plugin, rebooted the server, and reinstalled the plugin. So for now, I have completed removed the plugin from all of my servers, since it does not work.

Also noting that the addition of the QR Code is nice, but in the IOS app I did not see an option to scan a QR Code. The only options are Discovery or Manual when adding a server.  I have also remove the app from my iPhone and iPad.

glad to know it worked.

i'll be releasing an app update that will be able to read the qrcode.

it will be a bit experimental, since i haven't been able to test in a lot of different devices (especially on the android side)

Hi, I used to have the iOS app working well, but for some reason the interface stopped updating my server. I deleted the server from the app but am now unable  to re-add my server, either by manual address entry or QR  code. I don't get any error code, just a perpetually spinning wheel. My firewall is setup to allow traffic from my phone to the server. Any idea what else might be preventing the connection, or a way to access a debug log?

Same here, i have the latest plugin version and i use iOS latest app. My app was not updating and decided to uninstall install and now i am not able to add my server with any of the available options.

QR code also works with http://ipaddress:2378. The green link on the plugin settings opens the https://*unraid.net:2379, which is not listening at all at this port.

netstat -ntlp | grep -E '(2378|2379)'
tcp6   0  0 :::2378   :::*   LISTEN  18746/controlr

one strange thing i noticed is that the plugin is listening to a IPv6 address which my server only listens to lo interface.

Hi, thanks for the report.

So the issue seems to be that the controlr plugin that creates the qrcode is not working correctly. It says that the hostname should be "unraid" but it's not being recognized in the network.

What unraid os version you have ?

no real issue but on my iphone app the banner of my server isn't shown properly. It only shows the top left corner somehow.

I'm using a resolution of 1920x90 for the banner.

I think this worked in the past. Already tried readding the server without any luck.

hi, can you share a picture to get a better idea of the issue ? (mask any personal info if you want)

you mentioned you access via \\unraid, that's the shares right ?

can you access that same way via the browser ?

image.thumb.png.7ea27f81e7c7d7cba1da52c584809866.pngyes

if i use just "unraid"  (http://unraid ) in browser, it redicts to unraid just fine

ports in LAN are not closed / rejected - all enabled for lan only access

edit2:

fixed by set a host entrie in openwrt

unraid ----- lan ip

now on iphone QR scan works

maybe a iphone thing bcs on other device it works without openwrt host entrie^^
