Hi no dependencies are needed it's a single binary.

Try to run it from the command line

/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/controlr/controlr

and report any error it throws

Running into the same issue, Unraid 6.9.2, latest ControlR plugin version.

Ran `/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/controlr/controlr` and recieved:

Any idea how I can add Unraid hashed url to plugin? not working via QR code

can you try 2 things ?

- make sure you're adding the server within your lan

- add the server manually (you can copy/paste the 'hash' url)

make sure you set the protocol as https

For the last couple of months, The controlR app on my phone (Android) has shown me my server, but I can't tap on the server to get any additional info about it, and it shows a red x in a circle next to it.

I've not done any trouble shooting on this in particular, but the server's IP address hasn't changed in ages. The plug in is still running on the server. I have CA auto-update running, so the plug in should be the latest available (v2021.11.25), and I presume that my app is the latest (5.1.1), as I've got autoupdate enabled on the phone too.

I just tried clicking on the "Spin Up" option on the Servers list. It popped up a little box with a spinner for a while, but nothing happened on the server itself.

Any recommendations on what to check?

I presume deleting the server is by pressing the circled red x in the corner of the server list. There is no response to that.

The circled red x means the server if offline (at least the app sees it that way).

To delete the server, swipe it left, it will display a red delete button to the right

However, nas.local resolves just fine in my browser:

Gets me to the ControlR config page w/o issue

You're browsing from your cellphone ?

Can you try using the ip address instead of the hostname ? Just to check if that works.

hmmm... bizarre. The address bar pic is from my desktop machine.

My phone cannot resolve nas.local in a browser window, saying "site cannot be reached".

When I try adding the server manually by IP address, I get:

It's attempting to convert the IP to a host address, it seems, then is failing to resolve the host address back to an IP.

right, that seems to be the issue, maybe you have and blocker, or some firewall rules for your ip/cellphone

I can reach it via IP in a browser from my phone (though I get warnings about it being HTTP instead of HTTPS).

If there are any rules blocking it in the phone, I'm certainly not aware of it, plus, the "Discover" method of adding it can find the server (by IP, I presume?).

I honestly don't have a clue what might be blocking access to the server from the phone when the phone can clearly see that the server's there.

the app does an mdns/avahi lookup in the discover tab, the ip you see there is what it gets back ?

can you add the server as http instead of https ?

I to also have the issue where the link has the wrong port.  I also have the myserver plugin and due to that when i try going to the qr code with the correct port I get this error

An error occurred during a connection to *obfuscated*.myunraid.net:2378. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

For some reason I am unable to get the app to connect manually ether, it just sits and spins.

since the last update the first 2 icons on the bottom stopped working.  i have uninstalled and reinstalled, but get the same, the shares, dockers, vms and system info all pull up my server data, any suggestions, SS attached from app.  the parity just has spinning circles, the 2nd one - no data at all, used to be there, also do not see any info in the log file on the server.  Is there a limit on # of drives so it might be failing there?  I have a total of 41 drives in the system, but it was working with that many before.

Thanks

I’ve got an issue with the iOS app. I always have to force quit it before it works again (it looks like the app freezes in the background) Anybody had  an issue like that before?

@jbrodriguez any suggestions for my question?
