Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Unraid 4.5.1 (or kernel) is able to use of CPU technique "Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology" and "Enhanced Halt State (C1E)" to consume less CPU?

Thanks for answer

Yes, it has frequency scaling support.  But you have to load the proper driver for your CPU.

How I discover that UnRaid use properly driver?

How I discover what is currently frequency of CPU?

I have CPU Intel C2D E7200 in UnRaid server. In BIOS C1E, C3/C4 and Intel Speedstep is enabled.

Very thanks for answer

Your CPU probably uses the p4_clockmod driver.  So use the command:

modprobe p4_clockmod

To see the current cpu speed (and other information) use the command:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

BubbaQ, very thanks for answer.

I am try modprobe p4_clockmod then console write FATAL: Module p4_clockmod not found.  :(

Information from cpuinfo I am see in unraid menu. But I am see 2533.582 MHz...  :(

I have C2D E7200

Any ideas?

Althought frequency scaling support is in the kernel, I guess p4_clockmod is not in the stock unRAID distro.... sorry.
