Hey all,

 

I'm currently looking into getting a Dell MD1000 DAS to attach to my Poweredge 1950 iii server. I want to know if unRaid will see the drives in the MD1000.

And more information on the server: The PE server currently has a Perc 6/i controller. If I were to buy the MD1000, I would also get a Perc 6/E controller to put in.

 

Thanks for any help and input you all can provide.

    I believe the Dell Perc's do not do JBOD natively, its possible you might be able to flash it with some other firmware that will enable it to do JBOD, I'm not sure. As for the DAS, sorry I have no clue.

    Okay. Thanks, ashyman. I think I'll just throw an esata card in there and get a jbod enclosure instead.
