Connecting to the network

Featured Replies

So I followed the Getting Started guide and that's pretty darn easy. Server is now booted up. But... Now what?

The next guide is Initial Setup, which assumes it has magically connected itself to the network - which in my case isn't going to happen. So it feels like the video guides are skipping a few steps, which is a tad frustrating as a total beginner with unRAID :(

I think I need a way to login to the server on the local console, and that needs a username+password. At the very least.

At best, I need to know how to configure the WLAN adapter properly, since I suspect there isn't going to be a fancy interface for that like on a Windows desktop.

Login on the console is with the user 'root'.  On a new system it will have no password set.

Cool, and as for WLAN configuration?

Unraid expects to be on a wired connection .... Not sure if there are any wireless drivers built in.
