Lost VM Tab, Dockers corrupt (?) after losing power

Featured Replies

Lost power to my server briefly, and when I turned it back on and started the array, the VM's Tab was gone, and none of my Docker containers started. Here is a view of my Docker tab:

Any help?

...and buy a UPS stat!

Your flash drive is corrupted.  You need to pop it into your desktop and let Windows / Mac do a file system check on it.

Popped it in windows and let it do the repair. Didn't fix anything from the looks of it. New diag file attached. Again, TIA.

The problem is the flash drive.  You're getting I/O errors on it

Nov  1 18:52:28 Largest kernel: blk_update_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 47928
Nov  1 18:52:28 Largest kernel: Buffer I/O error on dev sda1, logical block 569256, lost async page write

And then the system goes nuts when hitting the docker tab and trying to read all of the user templates you've got

I would try to reformat it and reset it back up

Copy the plus.key file from the config folder prior to formatting and then copy it back after reinstalling unRaid.

Failing that, set up a new flash drive, and copy just the .key from from the /config folder to it, and unRaid will walk you through transferring the registration to the new flash. And then set back up the users, and reinstall your plugins

A sizeable chunk of the files on your flash are trashed:

Oh well that is a bummer. Does this mean I've lost the data on the array?

Oh well that is a bummer. Does this mean I've lost the data on the array?

Nope... Your data is perfectly safe.  Would be wise to take a screen shot of your disk assignments so you can restore them ...
  • Author

Alright, so, as things go, I stopped the array to reboot it, and the drives looked like all the slots went to 'unassigned'. Rebooted the server, and now it doesn't see the USB as readable. 1-10 how effed am I? All your help is greatly appreciated.

As he said, the drives and data are almost certainly perfectly fine.  If the flash drive was corrupt though, then you've lost the configuration (unless you have a backup of the flash).  Once you fully reformat the flash drive and re-prepare it, then you can boot and re-assign the drives, and you should be fine.

Alright I'll get to work on that. Thanks a ton all.
