cherritaker
So i had two drives with 1 pending reallocated sector so i replaced them and had them rebuilt one had the issue first then the following week i had the second drive these are 5 year old drives. After the rebuild i ran the preclear on them and got these results wondering if they're worth using at all in any type of environment. Thanks in adavance. ================================================================== 1.15b = unRAID server Pre-Clear disk /dev/sdi = cycle 1 of 1, partition start on sector 64 = Disk Pre-Clear-Read completed DONE = Step 1 of 10 - Copying zeros to first 2048k bytes DONE = Step 2 of 10 - Copying zeros to remainder of disk to clear it DONE = Step 3 of 10 - Disk is now cleared from MBR onward. RobJ
The first one is fine. The second one had a recent bad sector, which this Preclear fixed. To be safe, I'd run one more Preclear on it, and check for perfection again. Quote Link to comment
