Is it possible to passthroug a USB 3.0 hub to a VM?

I know there is some guides to passthroug a whole USB controller.. but I think all my USB 3.0 ports run on the same BUS.. And unRAID stick is also on USB 3.0

 

I need this to work, since Libwirt Hotplug USB plug-in is not good enough for me.. f.ex.. I can't connect my phone (Galaxy S7) to my VM with it.. It disconnects when I unlock the phone.. And if I connect it again, it will not show the files on it.

And it would also be great to have a few ports for hotplugging usb devices, and not have to access the web-gui to connect them to the VM.

    as far as i know it's not possible you need to passthru whole usb controller or single divices,

     

    but I remember someone talking in other forum about some usb hub with integrated usb controller(maybe  works)

    Already bought this hub, just to find out this.

    But.. Found a cheap USB card on ebay now.. Will try that :)
