Have write access to user share, but not to docker created folders?

Featured Replies

I'm very new to unRAID so this might be a very amateur question.

I've created the user shares, and I've set up my dockers for Sonarr, CouchPotato, etc. I have a user with read/write access to the user shares.

In CP's settings, Folder CHMOD is at the default 0755, File CHMOD is the default 0644. This is the same in Sonarr.

When I connect to my NAS with my user via AFP or SMB, I can read all folders and files. I can write to root of the user share such as TV. But I can't write to the sub-folders such as "Season 5" created by the dockers.

This is what I have when I check on folder Season 5's permissions:

I don't get it?

Because CP is setting the permissions so that only the owner of the file can write.  You need to set the permissions within CP to be 0777

But to fix the existing files either manually run chmod commands or install fix common problems plugin and run the docker safe new permissions under the tools tab
