6.1.9 to 6.2.4 Windows 10 VM no sound

Featured Replies

So I upgraded today to 6.2.4 and everything seems to be working except my sound. I can select the motherboard onboard soundcard in the VM settings but when the VM loads I only have the options for the digital outputs, the analogue output states that nothing is connected, this was working fine prior to the update.

I have a Realtek ALC1150 onboard audio chipset.

Having a similar issue. Upgraded to 6.2.4 and now I'm getting no sound on VMs (openelec or libreelec) through hdmi on a gt710. Sound was fine before the upgrade on an old openelec vm with the sound.conf fix. Reverting to 6.1.9 for the time being.

you may need to enable MSISupport for those devices (had a different issue (audio stuttering), but it might help)
