vfio: failed to set iommu for container: Operation not permitted

Hi

I have searched and scoured the forum but it looks like some motherboards just dont accept passthrough nicely and I think I am in that camp. I thought I would give it a go in case anyone knows what else to try.

I plan on making an old server HP ML350G6 into a Virtual Machine specifically for Kodi plus others. I have unraid running and made a Librelec VM run using VNC. I have installed a GeForce GT 710B but keep getting the dreaded "vfio: failed to set iommu for container: Operation not permitted" when starting the VM. I have tried the following in varying combinations

1, toggled the PCIe ACS Override

2, added the line vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 to syslinux.cfg

3, Moved the card to each of the 6 PCIe slots

Hi, I actually gave up and brought a whole new system. I was hoping to repurpose an old work server getting thrown out but no luck.

I started A new thread about it here.

I was googling the issue and saw this older thread ... and since he has the same set up fig I would ask.
