Does unRAID support 1ssd - 2VM?

Featured Replies

I need to know if unRAID is for me.

Does it support two VM's running off of 1 SSD?

I was under impression that for maximum performance, devices should be passed through,

and to do that, there has to be a seperate hardware ID?

If my system supports NVMe (m.2 PCIe) SSD booting, will it work as well?

All the best,

Theo

Yes

Performance should/can be better with the device passed through, never tried it myself as I have good performance and more flexibility without doing it, but this can depend on your VM use case.

With v6.2 a NVMe device can be used any way you want, just like any other device.
