Question About Basic License and Drives

I know that the device drive limit for a Basic License in unRAID V6 is 6 hard drives. I currently have 5 drives in my array -- 1 parity and 4 data. If I buy a 6th drive, does it have to be used as a cache drive or can I use it as a 5th data drive?
