February 18, 201016 yr Hello all, I seem to have developed an odd problem. When I first set up my unRaid server a few weeks ago, I quickly tested if it supported sleep using: echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep It did indeed support it, so, excited to get everything else set up, I didn't look into it further until yesterday. Yesterday I enabled automatic sleep using the great script found here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=3657.0, but it seems like my server no longer wants to go to S3. The script functions as it should, but rather then entering S3, the server shuts completely down. Pushing the power button (which woke it up when I first tested it), starts it rebooting, as if it was a cold boot. I haven't tested yet if it reacts differently with WOL Any ideas as to what is going on? Things that have changed since I first tested: 1. Array is up and running 2. Added two Seagate drives to my WD Greens 3. Plugged fans into MB header to have speed controlled by MB rather than always on with from PS.... Thanks! [EDIT] So, I tries WOL using the wolcmd exe and a batch file, and WOL worked... only server is still booting up from shutdown, not S3 ...
