Array won't start after replacing drive

Featured Replies

Maybe I am missing something, but I just finished building a test UnRAID server on a Dell Power Edge w/4GB RAM and 3 drives, (2) 500GB and (1) 1TB parity drive.

I installed UnRAID and boots up great. Transferred 6GB of test data to the drive. Before I deploy this, I wanted to see the reliability. I stopped the Array and wiped the 1st 500GB data drive, hoping to restore the 6GBs from the parity. The server boots up and I try to start the Array and it claims it it mounting, but never starts.

Am I missing something? If I understand things right, how is this different than stopping the array and putting a new drive in? Is there a bug in 4.5.1 or am I off base in my thinking? I like UnRAID and it is replacing a Windows Home Server CPU/Memory Hog. I want to make sure this will work before I deploy it. Any thoughts?
