November 25, 20169 yr Hi. I set up my user shares to include disks with high-water allocation method. But that doesn't seem to be happening. Everything is filling up in disk1 and the other 2 disks are untouched.
November 25, 20169 yr Apparently you don't understand what "high water" allocation means. It's going to use the current disk until it's 50% full -- then it will switch to the next disk until it's 50% full -- then to the next one, etc. When all are 50% full it will start using #1 again until 50% of what's left is used (i.e. until it's 75% full; etc.)
November 25, 20169 yr No problem. Just to be precise, the high-water marks are based on your largest disk. So if you have disks of different sizes, you could have some disks that don't get used for a while. See the example shown in the manual: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Un-Official_UnRAID_Manual#High_Water
