VM, Windows 7, not starting installation wizard

Featured Replies

Hello,

Kindly I would like to ask whether someone could guid me to a resource to solve the problem here below, or maybe have suggestions to solve the issue at hand.

When installing a VM for ubuntu everything goes as mentioned in the manual http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Official_Documentation

However when trying to install windows 7, the process initiates (windows boots correctly) but, to me for unknown reasons, the installation wizard never appears but only the famous "glowing/whobling" logo of Windows 7 ( a screen shot can be found here below). For both cases I have used the documentation to the best of my knowledge and kept things as simple as possible.

I have now tried various things: to see if the .iso file was damaged (which was not the case, as I downloaded a legal version that worked just fine for other servers/computers), file names, more cores, more RAM, different windows versions (32-bit and 64-bit), installed and used 'Fix Common Problems' plugin (no messages of errors or Warnings); non of them worked so far. In addition I could not find any documentation on similar issues nor on the forum (though I should say that after several tries on various days I decided to change approach and post a question on the forum here).

In the attachment there is 'syslog' (just after starting a VM) and the one of today 'syslog2'

For any questions please do not hesitate to let know.

Change video from qxl to cirrus until you get windows up and running.
