Passing through a USB hub?

Hi,

 

My USB hub is detected by unraid but I was wondering if it was possible to pass through the whole hub to a VM like you would stub a PCI Device? Each device I connect to the hub show up to be passed through but would be nice if I could get the whole hub.

    I don't know if you can pass a hub through -- I was under the impression that you can't but I am not an expert so could be wrong.

     

    To pass a hub though what I did was just buy a USB card. Then you pass the entire USB card so a hub plugged into the card is also passed through.
