November 26, 20169 yr Hi running unraid now. and I wondered why I get an error msg here? Check image: http://bildr.no/image/Ui9yS21V.jpeg and why i can't change (set) "Use cache disk:" Yes to no. when I click on save. it will not change Check image: http://bildr.no/image/WEdYWHBV.jpeg
November 26, 20169 yr Both errors are related. The flash drive is mounted Read-Only probably due to corruption (unclean restarts?) Pop the flash into your desktop and let Windows / Mac repair the damage

November 26, 20169 yr try chkdsk /f f: And if still nothing, reboot the server. Try to do one of those things again involving the flash drive and then post diagnostics
November 26, 20169 yr Author Test it now. and it work in 3min then i get this warning: USB flash drive failure: 27-11-2016 00:53 Alert [ELSA] - USB drive is not read-write DataTraveler_3.0 (sda) Test it now "chkdsk /f f:" and get: C:\Users\Venox>chkdsk /f f: The type of the file system is FAT32. Windows cannot run disk checking on this volume because it is write protected.
November 27, 20169 yr Unless there's a physical ReadOnly switch on the drive, I'd copy the contents off, format it, download unRaid again and follow the instructions to set it back up, then copy the contents back on to it. But it could be a problem with the drive itself.
November 27, 20169 yr Author Tried and format it now. but get the message that it is write protected. Is not switch on it and bought it 2 days ago.
November 27, 20169 yr Author hmm test it now and nor working get error and feil think the usb is broken ? how do i get backup from it and test new on ?
November 27, 20169 yr To transfer the registration to a new stick, set up a new stick from scratch (download unRaid, and install it onto the stick per directions) Copy all of the files / folders you already saved onto the new stick. Boot up the server and go to the webUI. unRaid will bitch that its not the correct key file and walk you through the steps to transfer the registration to a new key.
November 27, 20169 yr Author Thx going too buy new one now. Do you have any tips on what USB Flash Drive i shuld buy?
November 27, 20169 yr Author Think i going too try and use USB card reader like this: NEW Kingston MobileLiteG2 Card reader ? external ? Mac, PC, USB
November 27, 20169 yr Think i going too try and use USB card reader like this: NEW Kingston MobileLiteG2 Card reader ? external ? Mac, PC, USB Search the forum / wiki for card readers. Many of them do not have unique GUID's and are therefore unsuitable for use for unRaid. No idea about that one though.
